TANTO NOMINI NULLUM PAR ELOGIUM


On the 21st of June in 1527, Niccolò Machiavelli died in Florence. On the 3rd of May in 1993, Nicol Macintyre was born to the British government's "Project Rewrite," complete with the successful donation of Machiavelli's DNA. He was raised, of course, without knowing anything about the ancient building blocks inside him--but with the absolute certainty that he was different. Special. Important. Better than the life he'd been born into, his mother often reassured him while the two of them struggled to make ends meet in Dalkeith.

Getting into Oxford confirmed this. He's currently studying PPE and beginning to search out his ingress to working for the government--which has thus far been surprising easy, the way Italian has been for little discernible reason. He's a quick mind and a good friend; well, so long as you're on his side of the argument. And you call him 'Mac.'

He feels fully justified in actions against those who call him 'Nicol,' strong Scottish name or no.
